Ten years ago, a chance encounter between two vintage Star Wars collectors became the spark that ignited one of the greatest regional clubs in the galaxy: The Empire State Star Wars Collectors Club.

And since then, the club has become a home to hundreds of collectors, many of whom have impacted our hobby in profound and positive ways.

The Empire State Club has hosted both local meetups and larger, international-themed weekends. It has played a role at conventions like Star Wars Celebration, and in recent years, created its own collector-themed event: The Annual.

Yet at its core, what drives it and keeps its members connected are the friendships formed. And to the club’s co-founder, Thomas Quinn, those friendships mean more than anything.

Join host David Quinn for a conversation with Tom, as Tom reflects on life as a Star Wars fan, how the Empire State Club originated, and on some of the amazing adventures and blessings he’s experienced over the past decade as a club member.
