What does Citrix mean to you? A software company that provides server, application and desktop virtualization, networking, software as a service, and cloud computing technologies? However, this would just be scratching the surface.
In a world where many of the complex technologies that make our digital experiences possible are misunderstood and largely invisible, I want to bust a few myths on my daily tech podcast and explore the tangible benefits created with digital workspaces and the transformational experiences that we all take for granted.
For example, Citrix recently partnered with the Miami Marlins, whose goal was to deliver better experiences for their fans. I invited Jeroen van Rotterdam onto my show to learn more about how the Miami Marlins are transitioning to the Citrix Cloud platform to create a more intuitive environment, a higher level of productivity and overall improved flow of information.
Jeroen van Rotterdam is executive vice president of engineering, with responsibility for development and delivery of Citrix flagship products for secure delivery of apps and data – anytime, anywhere – on any device or network. Harnessing the innovation power of the company's global engineering workforce, he leads R&D across all hardware and software products and solutions for apps, data, cloud and networking.
van Rotterdam joined Citrix in 2016, bringing more than 20 years of industry experience to the company. Most recently he served as chief technology officer, vice president and distinguished engineer for DELL EMC’s Enterprise Content Division and general manager for its Archiving Solutions product portfolio.
