How did a religious sister convince me to keep a skull on my desk to remind me of death? ☠️

 

When Sr. Theresa Aletheia Noble started keeping a skull on her own desk, she thought it would look cool. But she had no idea the impact the constant reminder of death would have on her faith life. As Catholics, we live in a world that constantly fears death, avoids death, and dreads death. But if we truly understand what Heaven is, death should be something we rejoice—something that powers us forward and fills us with peace and comfort. I thought there was no better day than All Hallow’s Eve to chat with Sr. Theresa about death, her journey from atheism to becoming a religious sister (a journey she’s still on!) and what the Daughters of St. Paul are all about.
