8CCC's Darcy Davis speaks with Sparkie Jackzon, a New Zealand drag performer best known for competing on the second season of House of Drag where she placed 1st overall and was crowned the winner of House of Drag. Spankie would later compete on the second season of RuPaul's Drag Race Down Under where she would go on to win that season as well. FabALICE is on now and Spankie is one of the headliners for the Airport Development Group Comedy and Cabaret event on Saturday night!

This Thursday 26 March, join in Penangke's Cultural Induction Workshop at Alice Springs Desert Park, Red Mulga Room. These monthly sessions, open to individuals and organisations are essential to ground into Mparntwe Alice Springs and Central Australia. Raymond Walters Penangke speaks about the organisation's aims and how the session will assist with understanding place and learning respect.

Tonielle Dempers, Senior Architect with Tangentyere Design, talked through the importance of this phase of the new Alice Springs Public Library. This Saturday 21 March is the chance for all those who haven't completed the survey in this Community Consultation and Concept Design Phase to join in at the Library and  speak one on one with their elected officials and design team. Tonielle expressed the importance of getting your ideas in at this initial stage, as each phase will be up for tender and may not be the same organisation leading throughout the whole process.
