Artist, author, and musician, Joshua Santospirito and violinist/musician, Natalya Bing, are visiting Mparntwe to present Joshua's new graphic novel, 'The Islands Where We Left Our Ancestors', by way of a hand-drawn musical storytelling performance. The novel details Joshua's visit to the Aeolian Islands of Italy with his parents to seek out past connections and family roots. Mparntwe last saw a performance from Joshua around a decade ago, with the nationally acclaimed graphic novel 'The Long Weekend In Alice Springs'. The Big Brekky were lucky enough to catch Joshua and Natalya during their visit, tune in to hear all the details of this. The duo performed at Epilogue on July 7th.

Ken Perkins was not long in the Northern Territory before he became aware of the buffel problem, inspiring him to write a poem. Having researched the situation, he was led to approach the Arid Lands Environment Centre (ALEC) for information and he hopes to find a songwriter to make it into music.
