One huge thing came up for me when navigating this particular issue- and I can attribute it all to this exact quote: "Do not waste your time trying to explain yourself to people who are committed to misunderstanding you." That thought alone inspired this follow-up episode. Sometimes, we can put in all the work on ourselves as we need to. We can decide to rise up and not be a victim anymore- and yet, there will still be people in our lives who have made up their minds to misunderstand us.
