みなさんこんにちは、かなこです！今日のシャドーイングは「～なければいけません」。

Hi everyone, it’s Kanako. Today’s shadowing is “must / have to”.

“なければいけません” is used to describe that it’s necessary to do something. For instance, if it’s necessary to sleep earlier tonight, you can say “今日早く寝なければいけません”.

“なければいけません” is more used in the written language, while “なきゃいけないんです／なきゃいけません” is used in spoken language.

I have to work overtime today.　 今日、残業しなければいけません。

I have to get up at 6:00 tomorrow.　 明日６時に起きなければいけません。

I have to take medicine every day.　 毎日薬を飲まなければいけません。

I must attend the meeting.　会議に出なければいけません。

I have to cook dinner later.　あとで晩ごはんを作らなければいけません。

I have to go back to my parent's house this weekend.　今週末、実家に帰らなきゃいけません。

I have to do my homework.　宿題をしなきゃいけません。

I have to do laundry and cleaning.　洗濯と掃除をしなきゃいけません。

I have to pay rent.　 家賃を払わなきゃいけないんです。

I must study for the test.　 テスト勉強をしなきゃいけないんです。

I have to remember the vocabulary before the test.　テストまでに単語を覚えなきゃいけないんです。
