John Temple is the author of two nonfiction books, The Last Lawyer: the Fight to Save Death Row Inmates (2009) and Deadhouse: Life in a Coroner’s Office (2008). He teaches at West Virginia University.

Kristin Naca’s book Bird Eating Bird won the 2008 National Poetry Series MTVU Prize, selected by Yusef Komunyakaa. A CFD Fellow at Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota, she teaches Asian American and Latino poetry.

Jennifer Perrine’s book The Body is no Machine(New Issues, 2007) won the 2008 Devil’s Kitchen Reading Award. She also won the 2008 Lodge Poetry Award. She teaches at Drake University, where she runs the Writers and Critics Series.
