This week we are very lucky to have Beth Dawson representing Uniform Collective in the studio. She chats to us about Uniforms exhibitions and performances and DJ's some amazing music from the collective! Jaimee talks to Ioana Gordon-Smith about Janet Lilos exhibition "Status Update" which is Lilo's first solo survey show at Te Uru. Jaimee also talks to Ngahuia Harrison about her internship at the Metropolitan Museum of art in New York and her exhibition at Blue Oyster Gallery "You Can Eat Anything but the Rocks". Mā te wā.

Ngā mihi o te rā. This week we have Balamohan Shingade, the curator and manager of the new Malcolm Smith Gallery gallery which is part of the Arts and Culture Uxbridge center, join us in the studio. He talks to us about the opening exhibition "Soft Architecture", ideas around community and his plans for the gallery. Jaimee talks about her experience of the three day Wānanga led by Taarati Taiaroa and Elisapeta Heta that invited interested parties to propose, explore, discuss and dissect key contemporary Māori art texts in relation to emerging arts practice and three key spaces in Dunedin. This is an ongoing series of Wānanga to be held around the country. We also play a soundwork by Mark Williams, "Particles", as part of our collaboration with Audio Foundation and Radia.

Artbanks thoughts and Aroha are with the LBGT community everywhere and especially in Orlando at this devastating time. This week we have Theo Macdonalds (currently in LA) "Letter from America" and four soundworks for radio by Leafa Wilson as part of our collaboration with Audio Foundation and Radia. We also talk to Tom about his experiences on the Eastern Art Express bus with works by Olivia Blyth, Hana Aoake and Matilda Fraser which visited the new Malcolm Smith Gallery and Te Tuhi Gallery. Finally Cushla talks with photographer Johnny McCormack about his new solo show at Allpress studio.

Kia ora koutou! This week Artbanks Tom Tuke goes South. He talks to Annie McKenzie and Dave Marshall on the eve of their new Physics Room show opening and Bridget Reweti about her collaboration with Terri Te Tau on the film Ōtākaro also on at Physics Room. He also catches up with Nicole Bourke at the Ashburton Art Gallery then Amanda Symon at Te Ana, The Ngai Tahu Rock Art Centre to find out about the regions cave paintings. Tom also goes BBC with an investigative piece about steampunk Oamaru. The annual steampunk festival is on this weekend there and he reflects a bit on what steampunk culture is, and how it is going down in Oamaru. The Artbankers discuss their observations and experiences of the Auckland Artfair and Theo talks to Eve Armstrong about her standout piece, the trading table, at the Michael Lett gallery stand. This week the San Diedo-based composer, Celeste Oram, presents a short documentary on Vera Wyse Munro (1897-1966). Munro was a pioneering amateur radio broadcaster from Northland, New Zealand. Cushla and Theo discussed the recent nominations for the most famous prize for contemporary art in the UK, the Turner Prize. Kia Ora. What a week. We talk to Irwan Ahmett and Tita Salina, the art duo from Jakarta, whose show 'The Flame of the Pacific' is on at St Paul St Gallery. Their work grapples with the environmental and political problems facing people of the Pacific. They speak to problems in West Papua, Jakarta's newest islands, Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and their slightly satirical flag for the Pacific. Quishile Charan is in studio and talks about her upcoming show Fijianx. Charan discusses the latest renderings of ongoing artistic research into her Fijian/Indo-Fijian identity, the significance of the material in the new work, and the many communities she identifies with. Happy International Workers Day. This week Cushla talks to artist/activist Emir Hodzic about how he came to be involved in art and activism and his work around International white armband day which commemorates the victims of war crime and genocide and critiques the culture of genocide denial. Then we have a conversation recorded by Ardit Hoxha and Avigail Allan who have framed their conversation as diaspora vs. nation states. They discussed this in relation to how their practices utilise diaspora as a form of critique.

Today Cushla talks to Rebecca Hobbs about her new exhibition "Te Ihu O Mataoho" at St Pauls St Gallery and a bit of the important issues that inspired it. The exhibition includes works in collaboration with 13 other artists with the support of SOUL (Save Our Unique Landscape) and Te Wai o Hua. We play a song to honor Prince. Then Ayesha talks to David Ed Cooper about pop up shows "Fake Newby" and the forthcoming "'93 Accord".
