We're so excited for a new season of High School Football in CNY!  We're going to be out at a bunch of games this season and inviting coaches and players in to share the hype!  This morning we had Coach Sindoni and Ari the Athletic Director for Liverpool, talking about their beautiful new stadium and the big game tonight against Rome Free Academy!  Nothing more local than cheering for our teams!

We've seen too many children walking to school in a Syracuse winter with nothing more than a hoodie... and her heart just wouldn't let her ignore it. We both have kids... and we know they can be a challenge.  But when we read about this poor girl getting crap from her family for refusing to babysit her brother's kids... and WHY... we had to speak up.  Have you ever babysat and had an experience that was better than birth control?  We got some good calls on this one!

We love having live local music on a Friday morning and Mira Grimm absolutely wowed us.  16 years old.  Starting junior year in high school.  Just wrapped up a bunch of performances at the NYS Fair.  CD Release party in October... and then their mouth opened and their fingers owned that guitar and just... wow!  Enjoy this performance and follow Mira Grimm for more!

An impromptu Morning Mess sing-a-long led into Kara's Take about State Fair MEMORIES!!!!  Which led us to learn that Kara has never experienced a hot beef sundae at the NYS Fair.  And also, that hearing Marty say "put hot beef in your mouth" is really disturbing.  We called Kara's mom, moms like us, and she's excited about the HBS too!

In Sweden and France they have trained crows to pick up cigarette butts in exchange for peanuts.  Shannon wants a crow friend so badly, they bring you gifts!!!!  And not like the cat does... it's not a decapitated critter... they bring you shiny things they find and that sounds awesome.  But... how do they know what to do with the butts?  Get ready for the messiness...
