When I was a new pet mom, I did everything my vet told me to do . . . including feeding the pricey bags of food sold in her office. I had 6 cats and they all were on different foods, even some "prescription" foods for weight management.

Fast forward and I now know that there is no "medicine" in those foods AND they have no requirements for additional feeding trials to prove effectiveness.
