Hello Warriors and Battle Buddies!
Here we go with Episode 112, with today's guest Michael Talarico.
Michael asked to come onto the program to share his story with the community, despite the fact that he is going through a rough patch currently in his own recovery and healing.
He was hit by a car while walking on the shoulder of a highway to get help after his car broke down in upstate New York. As is the case getting hit at a significant speed, it leads to multiple bodily injuries. In Michael's case this also included what amounted too a shattered skull and a brain injury to go along with it.
We get to listen in Michael tell his story at this point where he still has a way to go to get over the hump. Trying to heal during the height of Covid has certainly been a monkey wrench for him too.
Full disclosure- Michael at times throughout the conversation gets emotional and it may be difficult to listen to. We even considered not publishing this episode because of it, but we wouldn't have been true to ourselves and this platform if we didn't.
Especially since Michael felt it so important to share his story and that all the stories need to be told no matter how raw they may be.

Hello Warriors and Battle Buddies!
Here we go with Episode 111
In this episode we explore a very common theme for those healing from a TBI and their loved ones. Success, what does that look like now?
Terry and I review a bit her her journey in defining what this means to her right now. We explore the fact that her teaching career may have helped her from time to time, that choosing you attitude is instrumental as part of the process and how life just changes anyway so try to embrace it.
At times throughout the conversation Terry gets emotional because this is not an easy mountain to climb. But hey, we try to be real around here when the stories are told.

Hello Warriors and Battle Buddies!
Here we go with Episode 110 with today's guest Justin Morris.
About 4 years ago Justin fell and hit the back of his head on ice while going out ice fishing in his home state of Wisconsin. He has not been the same since.
As is the case with all head injuries, the are unique, but they are also unique in how people can be affected. In Justin's case, this is certainly true. He is a black belt in multiple martial arts including Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
Because of his injury he has found it extremely hard to train and teach the students he has in his school. We get to learn about how Justin has coped, where he is today in his journey, how he started another business in the worst of times and maybe most interestingly, how skateboarding has helped him.
As of the recording Justin has a few YouTube channels which are in the show notes and is in the process of writing a book about his injury and mindset around it.

Hello Warriors and Battle Buddies! Here we go with Episode 105, Terry, the inspiration for the program will join us shortly along with special guest Emily Carpenter.
Emily was gracious enough to answer the call as a listener to come tell her story to the community. We appreciate her in doing so and remind you that you can reach out in all the areas to do the same.
So-what's it like spending 15 years living in the fog? More importantly how exciting is it to start feeling like you are coming out of it?
Emily is someone who learned in adulthood that she had experienced concussions in her youth that was causing her some serious concerns as they began to come to the forefront in her life.
Similar in nature to Dr. Jessica Nourse from episode 94, Emily wasn't aware and simply adapted.
She speaks pretty passionately about her experiences thus and her work with Blair Chiropractic and the Mind Eye Institute in addressing her concerns.
As the conversation progresses you will pick up on the theme of how the "Brain Fog" is lifting and Emily's excitement in it.
Emily felt it important to come on and offer encouragement to others. She believes she can make an impact others and doing so is part of the healing process.
Enjoy and let us know you thoughts!
