  • E21 - A to-do list & laying the foundation
"Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out." - Robert Collier
so, the last couple of episodes i was a little melancholy, this time less so.
my to do list, getting out of the house. how this is helping impacting me.
How to build a better future for my daughter.
How to use what we are doing to her, to make it as positive as possible and learn from it.
our parents didn’t talk to use about the divorce, i’ll never let that slip past char. it’ll be something we talk about throughout her life.
The graphic novel i got the quote from: https://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/young-frances-hartley-lin/1127477380?ean=9781935233428

  • E20 - Everything you can be
The choices that formed me, I want to use to help be better as a parent. I don't think we should tell kids they can be whatever they want, but finding ways to direct them and help find what they can be is our job. I talk about that a little.

  • E18 - Tonight's Event
I have a moment with my daughter where i get caught up in my own crap and don't take a moment to notice her needs. I talk about Bringing Up BeBe by Pamela Druckerman. More to come on that book. I use the Libby Library app to listen to it. I'm late, but i've been sick.

  • E16 - Rodger Dodger 2
I wonder if romantic love is possible at an older age. I ramble a bit, but... I do that. Then I finished talking about Mr. Rodgers and ten lessons to learn from him. Pretty straight forward. Below is the link to the Mr. Rodgers article:

  • E15 - Catching up
I catch up, because i've been gone too long. I talk about where i've been and what i've been up to. I talk about some books that show positive female role models for my daughter and me. I talk about Mr. Rodgers, because he rocks. I rift a little and get choked up at one point. Here's links to five of the books i talked about:

  • E14 - Rodger Dodger
I look at the first few lessons, as taught by Mr. Rodgers for being good parents to our children. I pulled this from the popsugar.com website. Link attached. I give my thoughts and views as i read through them. The thing with me is that i don't just read things and think "cool". I read them and process them and take them to heart and see how they can be applied to my life. These are great lessons. The next handful will be in the next episode.

  • E12 - I fail as a person
I didn't deal well when faced with racist comments. I wish I could have done better. I update on the state of the longest freaking (non) divorce i've ever heard of. Oh, and i don't share the details of getting yelled at once again for not understanding why we aren't divorced yet. :)

  • E11 - Vacation Lost
... Or Vacation Gone Bad. There was an argument. There were thoughts on expectations. There is a discussion of what a good vacation is or isn't and I can't say i understand either. I feel more relaxed and comfortable here, at least i think i sound that way. I'm finding a groove and really appreciate having this outlet. To anyone that's listening, thank you.
