  • E29 - When Other's Have to Consider Your Emotions

I wrongly judge a kid in the park.  I see where my judgements are based on my situation.  There's processing why other's have to go through so much, then worry about what others are thinking and feeling.  And I talked about a podcast and a book, linked below:

  • E28 - Why I don't like Resolutions, but it's a good thing, I think

I'm cutting this close to getting this out on Tuesday.  Life and holidays made me be a little late.  I talk about my views on resolutions. Look at how I am where I am in life, and am thankful for the things that got me here.  Also, I talks about The hilarious World of Depression Podcast:  https://www.apmpodcasts.org/thwod/.  Check it out, it's a great listen.  Thanks for listening.  Hear me next week.

  • E26 - The Butt of My Daughter's Humor
This episode is a look back at 20 years of friendship. How surrounding ourselves with people that make us better is a good thing. "When they go low, we go high". "You become the average of the people you surround yourself with". I almost cry a little there. And i'm proud of those that have helped me be a better me, every day, little by little. A true friend sees your flaws and loves you anyway. Also, i mention a podcast and a website:
    By the Book Podcast: https://panoply.fm/podcasts/bythebook
The book talked about in this podcast for By The Book: A Simple Act of Kindness by John Kralik: https://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/simple-act-of-gratitude-john-kralik/1103377749?ean=9781401310714#/

  • E24 - A Little of This, A Little of That
I tell my soon to be ex to get in touch with the mediator. I look at houses. I talk about my to do list. I ramble a little. • E23 - The Story Someone Else Told
"The stories we tell literally make the world. If you want to change the world, you need to change your story. This truth applies both to individuals and institutions." --Michael Margolis
Here's the transcript from Hannah Gadsby's Netflix special. You can also find it listed under the same name on Netflix: https://scrapsfromtheloft.com/2018/07/21/hannah-gadsby-nanette-transcript/
I wax poetic about story and the stories we tell. Thank you for listening. Feel free to pass this along and share. I'm building to something and i don't know what yet. So, thanks for sticking with me.

  • E22 - My mind wanders when I run
There's a lot of things happen when I run. I get in shape. I get out of the house. I eat better. I feel better. And... My mind wanders all over the place, in really weird crazy ways. But always good to get that happening. This episode i blarg out the things that were wandering through my mind when i put feet to pavement. Also, i'm going to find a way to link to my Daily To Do List. However, for now, i'll just list the things on it:
WRITE DAILY TO DO LIST (10 MINUTES)
    EXERCISE (20 MINUTES)
    WRITE (30 MINUTES)
    JOB SEARCH (60 MINUTES)
    MEDITATE (10 MINUTES)
    CREATIVE/CREATE (20 MINUTES)
    READ (20 MINUTES)
WRITE IN 5 MINUTE JOURAL DAY AND NIGHT
WRITE A THANK YOU LETTER (Once a week)
All these are minimums to try and hit on a daily basis. I haven't done the meditation, except once. I'm not sure why, but I really want to get it on the "done" list. Not just the to-do list. I can talk more about these on another podcast.

I am a single father. A vegan for health, environment and animal safety reasons. I read, write, podcast and blog to be a better person and a better father (huh?huh?). Follow me in my journey as this life gets lived moment by moment, day by day. You are not alone. Even though we all feel it from time to time, that's okay. Come here and know you are not alone.
