A Better World with Mitchell J. Rabin

Wednesday, Oct. 12, 5:30 pm est:  This evening’s guest is Green Party Presidential candidate, Dr. Jill Stein.  In not just a heated, but a tempestuous race, the third party candidates are getting increased recognition, even in mainstream media.  

Dr. Stein was the Green Party’s 2012 candidate for president of the United States. She is an organizer, physician, and pioneering environmental-health advocate. She has led initiatives promoting healthy communities, local green economies and the revitalization of democracy – addressing issues such as campaign finance reform, green jobs, racially-just redistricting, and the cleanup of incinerators, coal plants, and toxics. She was a principal organizer for the Global Climate Convergence for People, Planet and Peace over Profit.

Dr. Jill Stein is a mother, physician, longtime teacher of internal medicine, and pioneering environmental-health advocate.

She is the co-author of two widely-praised reports,  In Harm’s Way: Toxic Threats to Child Development, published in 2000, and Environmental Threats to Healthy Aging, published in 2009.  The first of these  has been translated into four languages and is used worldwide. The reports promote green local economies, sustainable agriculture, clean power, and freedom from toxic threats.

This evening’s program Mitchell Rabin  will  be about how to manage power, one’s own and the mechanisms of governance in the social arenas known as “politics and business”.   What is the psychology and group dynamics at play between people in power and the way they relate to others and manage that power?  What happens to people when in a larger spotlight?  There are dynamics at play, the identification and working with which, may be able to establish another level of understanding between people, greater compassion and peace.   These subjects will also be looked at through the lens of the recently released films Snowden and Deepwater Horizon.  

Governing the show will be the idea of “How does Spirit interface with our whole conversation about survival and thrival of the species and sentient life?”

In this evening’s show, holistic psychotherapist Mitchell Rabin, surveys the planet, viewing the human species as both an amateur anthropologist and a holistic psychotherapist-thinker, experiencing the impulse to render a diagnosis and recommend some remedies. After years of studying individuals, families, groups and larger, collectives as well as himself as another sampling of the species, he has a few insights to share.  

At the same time, Mitchell will offer what might be a few remedies to the current psychological conflicts causing conflicts as well as some solutions to some of the larger health problems on the levels of both people and planet.  This will touch upon the issues of governance, greed, power, confusion and the potential of infinite intelligence and possibilities.  Sacred stewardship,compassion, biomimicry, galactic/universal intelligence and indigenous wisdom will be woven into tonight’s narrative.

Dr. Stein was the Green Party’s 2012 candidate for President of the United States was initially scheduled for today's show but last-minute logistics caused a postponement until perhaps mid-September.

Mitchell instead spoke of the platform of the Green Party and about the controlled, "rigged" Electoral System, which he learned about over the decades but in vivid technicolor from the run of Dr. John Hagelin of the Natural Law Party for President in 1992, 1996 and 2000, from former Presidential candidate in 2012 of the Justice Party, Rocky Anderson (Mitchell was on Anderson's National Steering Committee) and from his interview with George Farrah, author of No Debate.  All of which makes for an informative show.
