A planned TV series reboot of the classic 1995 film Clueless is no longer moving forward at Peacock.

The project, which had previously been in development at CBS All Access (now Paramount+), was set to be a darker, mystery-infused take focusing on Dionne after Cher mysteriously disappears. It was described as a contemporary update reflecting modern LA high school life, drawing comparisons to shows like Riverdale mixed with the original's vibe.

Although Peacock has passed on the series, CBS Studios is reportedly shopping the project around to other networks and streaming services, so it's not officially dead yet. The original film's star, Alicia Silverstone, was not involved in this proposed reboot.
