Listen Later

This month, May 2022, the Personal Jurisdiction and the How I Lawyer Podcasts are teaming up to feature five interviews on the important topic of mental health in the legal profession. In the fourth episode in the series, Hallie and Allison chat with Dr. Diana Uchiyama, the Executive Director of the Illinois Lawyers' Assistance Program, about the mental health struggles she has identified among those in the legal profession and what we can all do to build healthy habits to support our own mental health journeys.

Dr. Diana is the Executive Director of the Illinois Lawyers’ Assistance Program, a not-for-profit organization that helps Illinois lawyers, judges, law students, and their families concerned about alcohol or substance use or dependency, mental health issues including depression, anxiety, and suicidal thinking, or stress-related issues such as compassion fatigue and burnout. The Illinois Lawyers' Assistance Program offers many different resources for law students, lawyers, and judges, including group meetings, virtual CLEs, and free and confidential consultations.
