A severe medical problem, broke, an outcast and out of options that describes the woman we’ll meet today on a Daily Walk. And when she had an encounter with Jesus her life dramatically changed! Maybe you can relate to the woman I just described on some level? Whether it’s an incurable disease that you’re faced with, or financial ruin, or you feel as though you’re a social outcast Jesus will welcome you with open arms! Today’s subject matter is something we all face from time to time - the storms of life. Some of them are as a result of disobedience in our lives, and we might refer to them as storms of correction. Any farmer will tell you that healthy soil yields healthy crops! And Jesus would speak of 4 different types of soil to convey a powerful message about the condition of our hearts. The condition of the soil of our heart will determine what kind of crop comes forth! So it would be good for us to consider the condition of our own heart!

In Luke chapter eight Jesus likens the heart to soil and the Word of God to seed. Here He speaks of four kinds of soils to represent the four kinds of hearts. The Lord desires that our hearts be good soil that would receive the seed of the Word - so our lives would become blessed and fruitful. Too often that’s not the case so Jesus in this parable helps us to see the true condition of our hearts that we might respond accordingly! Let’s see where our hearts are at today on a Daily Walk.

We’re about to witness one of the most touching scenes in all of Scripture today on a Daily Walk.
