Let's take a tour of the accessibility advisory committee agenda. We have copies at www.jaredrimer.com if you need them. Just go to the AAC link to get your copies.
We have Word, PDF, and EBAE and UEB braille.
The meeting is at One Gateway Plaza, Los Angeles at 1 PM Thursday, December 11, 2025.
Thanks so much for listening, and we'll have more content later!
Twice a year, we get service changes that affect bus and sometimes rail. In the following podcast, we're reading directly from the blog the post which covers the changes.
To see more specific details, see the "Is my rout changing" page at http://www.metro.net/mybus and use your heading keys to move around the page.
Thanks so much for reading and learning about what is going on with me and the agency.
We'll see you soon!
On this edition of the program, we talk about Metro Micro and my thoughts on its idea to be in the Warner Center area. I live around there, so we'll see how it goes. Its a motion right now, but we'll see how it goes if it passes. We'll keep you posted!
Initially, this listening session was to take place on October 23, 2025.
Rescheduled to November 18, 2025, I talk about what the presentation covered and my experience was with some of the things discussed.
I tried to be as hands off as possible since there were a lot of disabled people who never talked to PSAC.
I did not tape the session, these are my own thoughts. Thanks so much for listening!
Welcome folks to a traveling episode. While probably not the best stuff to podcast with, I take you in to Van Nuys for the San Fernando Service Council meeting that took place on October 1, 2025.
The way i got there was from here, to the 150 by walking. Then took the 150 to the orange line at Canoga Station and then took it to Van Nuys and Oxonard.
I had to walk north from there, and even went through a baracade of sorts as they did put a walkway through there.
We play parts of the bus ride so you can hear the AVA and what it sounds like for those who are not familiar with ours.
Enjoy!
The Metro Calendar is light this month of December, but we're going to tell you what's listed.
Visit www.metro.net/calendar for any updates.
Novembr 20th was an interesting meeting. Item 29 besides the monthly report, gave us something never discussed, Metro's engagement with passups and what they're doing about it.
It is known that Los Angeles Metro is the only agency tracking this, and they have a 1.85 percent passup ratio. Can your agency say that?
Let's discuss this in this episode of a day in the life of Jared.
I know this will be quite lengthy, but I do have comments and I go through the agenda.
We fixed the braille issues mentioned, go to the board page to pick up a new one if you picked up the first copy.
Lots of items as this is the final board meeting of the year and its their November-December meeting.
They do not meet on Thanksgiving, technically the 4th thursday, and the 4th thursday in December is Christmas.
Hope you enjoy the program, please inquire if you have any questions and thanks for listening!
Hello,
This is the final meeting of the Operations group for the year. You can find more information through the board web page which includes other meetings which we may not have a need to attend.
The braille is a lot better today but we spotted two things, one of which I think I missed and another I didn't realize what it would do.
For full print, you may visit the board web page linked above, or go directly to jaredrimer.com's operations page to get PDF with and without attachments and braille copies.
If you need us to email them, put those requests in by Wednesday evening and I can get them out by morning.
Email metro at jaredrimer.com if you need it or anything else.
This podcast covers an article from the source from Steve H. who covers the return of this vital program.
This also is covered by KTLA Los Angeles. We'll make sure to get that coverage up on our web site at jaredrimer.com for you to read.
Please reach out if you have any questions.
