In honor of World Blood Donor Day on the 14th of June, we're talking all things blood donation, the myths, the facts, the âI fainted in the donation tentâ stories (weâve all heard them) and most importantly, why Kenya is facing a critical blood shortage.
Iâm joined by a Joan Melly and JustKeah, two content creators who recently worked with Kenya Tissue and Transplant Authority (KTTA) to create awareness around the regular blood donor program that is aimed at increasing access and availability of blood to work towards meeting the current demands when it come to healthcare.
Throughout the conversation we will touch on: Who can donate blood, our experiences donating blood, why we donate blood, how exactly does one pint save three lives and much more.
Whether youâre a first-timer, a regular donor, or just blood-curious (yes, thatâs a thing), this oneâs for you. Letâs talk about saving lives, the community and how we can all make a difference one donation at a time
