LIVE – WED., JULY 07, 2021. This episode will feature inspirational music, positive inspirations, and nationally acclaimed artist RUFUS JOHNSON who is here for the INSPIRATIONAL MUSIC HIGHLIGHT. He is a Stellar-nominated singer-songwriter whose infectious tone and melodies are reminiscent of Soul and R&B crooners of the past. Rufus is also a multi-talented musician, vocal arranger, and producer. He spent years honing his craft as a songwriter and performer before releasing his first solo effort "Brand Nu Me" in 2010. In 2014, He joined the Gospel group "G.I." and co-wrote and sang on two top 20 Billboard singles, "Pray and Don't Worry" and "I'm Ready," as well as the well-received full-length album "Winning." Rufus began singing and performing in school choirs in his hometown of Richmond, Va. He performed in various talent shows before graduating high school. He attended Fayetteville State University in North Carolina and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education. He continued to write and record while teaching high school choir by day. Rufus still works as a teacher and mentor to young musicians while continuing to release new music. In 2020, Rufus remerged as a solo artist with the smash single "Thank You." With hard-hitting drums and funk rhythms, it harkens to the emotion-driven sounds of quartet gospel groups of the 1950s.

AND MARTHA HOY who is here for the INSPIRATIONAL AUTHORS SEGMENT! She is a nurse, author, speaker, and founder of Mother Martha Family Foundation in Las Vegas. Martha was hit from behind in a car accident in 2003 in which 3 people died. She suffered through a total of 15 surgeries, was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, and was in an abusive marriage. In May of 2018, Martha ran for her life with just a suitcase. She was helped by two young men that she had helped as orphans in Uganda. Her goal has been to take everything negative that happened and turn it into something rooted in love. This overcomer, Martha Hoy, has two charitable foundations and is the established author of two books. She is here to share her journey with us!
