  • Monday Morning Dose of Hope - I'm Too Broken For God's Love

    Good morning, my friend!

Welcome to the episode #4 of Monday Morning Dose of Hope.

I'm showing up for you every Monday to give you that dose of courage you need to step out in faith and said, "heck yeah, God, I'm all in!"

I want to help you start your Monday on a good foundation bathed in God's truth and promises.

In today's show, we're continuing our conversation about the unconditional love of God, and how so often we feel we're too broken for God's love for us.

    Verses used in the show:

Romans 8:38-39 NLT "(38)And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. (39) No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Romans 8:25-26 NLT "(25) But if we look forward to something we don’t yet have, we must wait patiently and confidently.) (26) And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words."

Matthew 11:28-30 NLT "Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”

Hebrews 4:15-16 "This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin. 16 So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most."

2 Corinthians 12:9 NLT "Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me."

  • Deb Schroeder - Breaking Free Of The Comparison Trap

In today's show, Deb Schroeder from Jesus Is My Hashtag joins me as she shares how she's learned the importance of breaking free of the comparison trap.

I'm a huge fan of social media, however, Satan can and will use it to feed into our insecurities. Therefore, we have to be diligent in our pursuit of discernment to know what's coming from God and what isn't.

Sometimes we have to make the choice to stay away from the triggers that make us feel less than someone else. After all, we know that our ultimate calling in life is to make God known and bring Him glory. To carry that out, He gave each of us each different gifts and talents to accomplish this.

No one gift is better or more than another.

Deb shares some practical tips and solutions on how to find peace in who you are rather than chasing after what someone else has.

In fact, one of those ways is that before we do anything, we need to check our Spirit and ask, "Am I seeking the approval of man or am I seeking the approval of God."

When we pursue what God wants for our life, rather than what everyone else is doing, we find that peace we've been searching for — that purpose that burns deep within our soul.

So grab your favorite beverage, that basket of clothes that needs folding, or turn up the volume on your morning commute and discover how to break free from the comparison trap.

    Favorite Quotes from Today's Show

"We put God first, and we look at ourselves through His lens,

"Am I seeking the approval of man or God?"

"God will equip those He calls."

"I would rather be weak but be within God's presence and be obedient to God, than strong and able to do it on my own."

"I'm a better version with God in it than with God out of my life."

In today's show, my friend, Christy McWilliams, from Messy Adventure joins me as she shares how she finds time to bring God into her life.

Christy is a busy mom of two kiddos and shares her long journey of advocating for a child with health challenges. She explains what it's been like to be up all night, rocking and consoling her sweet baby girl.

Christy spent years searching for answers; going from one doctor to the next.

To say this girl grew weary is an understatement. But what I love about Christy is that through it all, she can still point to Jesus, knowing that He is where she gathers her strength.

As an exhausted mom fighting for her child, she's learned how to make time for God and shares some practical ways we can too.

  • Christy Lynn Beck - How to Step Out in Faith and Live the Life You Were Created For

In today's show, my friend, Christy Lynn Beck joins me as she shares how she's learned to step out in faith and trust God with His plans for her life.

Christy Lynn joined me back in episode #6 as we talked about her journey through depression and how she learned to lean into God for hope and healing.

As long as I've known Christy Lynn, she's had complete trust in God no matter what was going on in her life. In fact, she's one of those people who'd say, "God, if I'm off track, do whatever it takes to put me back where I belong."

Christy Lynn shares a brand-new adventure with us and how she and her family are walking through it with her busy family of five.

This girl has a servant's heart and her passion in life is taking that incredible gift and sowing into the lives of everyone she comes into contact with.

I love how raw she is as she shares how the day before recording, she had a good, healthy cry and leaned into God. In fact, as she tells us, "It's my way of surrendering to God and God saying, 'You're losing your focus and your focus should be on me."

She also explains that when we aren't making God the priority in our life, everything else begins to tumble.

We share some laughs in today's show (and every time we get together) and some incredible truth bombs that you don't want to miss!
