Garth Wood grew up in the rough streets of inner-city Sydney. His life could have taken many paths.  He played in the NRL for Souths and Balmain just like his father and brother.  He found himself cut from the NRL and broke up with his partner. He had no qualifications, was unemployed and turned to alcohol and started hanging out with the wrong crowd...
