In this episode, the final episode before the holidays, I play some progressive metal bands for my mom. According to Wikipedia, progressive metal is a fusion genre melding heavy metal and progressive rock that combines the loud "aggression" and amplified guitar-driven sound of the former with the more experimental, cerebral or "pseudo-classical" compositions of the latter. We listen to two bands; find out if mom likes them!

In this episode, mom and I listen to some bands with non-traditional lineups such as bass and drums or guitar and drums. Also, we listen to some bands with a more traditional guitar, bass, drums, arrangement. We check out a band from Germany, one from Finland, and two from the United States.
