Do you know who this fellow is? He’s Vernon Geyer, an early proponent of the Hammond organ, invented by Laurens Hammond. It was patented in 1934 and went on sale the following year. You’ll hear Geyer play the Hammond A in the first segment of this week’s edition of Rapidly Rotating Records, a birthday salute to S. Bickley Reichner. In other segments, the gloves are comin’ off, we’ll go from good enough to too good, and have a human segment.
