  • Episode 85- My Post-conversation with Allie Chandler about the Provider Relationship and Patient Treatment.
In this episode, I contunied my conversation with Allie Chandler about the provider relationship and patient treatment. Allie Chandler is the founder and CEO of Upsell Health, a marketing and education company that helps wellness practitioners grow aligned businesses and connect more effectively with patients. Her work is deeply informed by her own 10-year healing journey after becoming severely ill in her twenties with Lyme disease, mold toxicity, and POTS. At her lowest point she was bedbound, searching for answers after conventional approaches failed to resolve her symptoms. Through a combination of root-cause medicine, limbic system retraining, and nervous system healing, she was able to fully restore her health. Today, she bridges the gap between patients and practitioners by creating systems, tools, and educational resources that help people navigate chronic illness recovery and find the right support for their healing journey. We spoke on why are so many people who die due to not being diagnosed until it is too late? We also discussed the fact that it is expensive to get tested for labs, MRI, CPT Scans, X-rays, and blood work to find out what is wrong with you. She also talked about how she works with the providers on how to help patients with treatment. We also spoke on how many people try multiple doctors, diets, and supplements but still feel stuck. From your experience, what are some common reasons people plateau or struggle to make progress in their healing journey? We spoke on how people with chronic illness and trying to figure out where to start, what are a few foundational shifts or habits that can make the biggest difference early in the healing process? We also spoke on the billing side when it comes to relationship and comunication between the providers and the medical billers. We talked about the billing side when it comes to claims for the the providers. I spoke on my experiences as a medical biller when it comes to the lack there of relationships with the providers. The differences between other countries and medical treatment and the United States. It was a great conversation, and I hope you guys enjoy the conversation. #healingjourney #recovery #podcast #healthandwellness

  • Episode 83- My Episode 83- Pre-conversation with Melody Woolf about her journey with Chronic Pain and the Plant Kratom.
In this episode, I had a pre-conversation with Melody Woolf, whose journey with chronic pain and becoming an advocate for plant and herbal treatments to help people with chronic pain. Her story of how she went from having pain in her hand to not being in pain, to the point of being temporarily paralyzed for eight years, to now being able to walk again with less pain.  She went from using multiple prescription drugs to using a plant called Kratom that has helped her with chronic pain. She spoke about how she became an advocate for kratom as far as being used to help people with chronic pain, MS, CRPS, and more. With over a decade dedicated to advancing consumer rights in the botanicals sector, Melody’s path is both personal and pragmatic. After spending eight years bedridden with chronic pain, her recovery through plant-based solutions propelled her into legislative advocacy for medical choice and government accountability. Melody’s recent role as the key patient-advocate speaker for the U.S. HHS & FDA press conference on botanical safety, sharing the stage with figures such as Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and FDA Commissioner Dr. Marty Makary, highlights how her lived experience intersects with national policy. She has testified at a U.S. Congressional briefing on kratom, been a featured presenter at the National Conference of State Legislatures, and engages weekly with legislative bodies and health councils across the country. With practical knowledge backed by ongoing collaborations with policymakers and scientific experts. She is now tackling the rising barrier of social media censorship in public health discussions. She talked about Kratom, as far as the pros and cons of the plant, as well as why the FDA won't approve the plant to be used in America. I learned a lot in the pre-conversation about Kratom, and I had to post this conversation. I can't wait for her, and I do the actual podcast conversation.
