Rich with cultural history, diverse neighborhoods, and deep community ties, it is also an area marked by stark contrasts, where middle-class and affluent families live only blocks away from neighborhoods struggling with poverty and crime.

Areas like Hyde Park, home to the University of Chicago, and Kenwood or Beverly are often considered desirable places to live.
