I’m often asked for the best proof of creation. Now many Christians think with the right piece of evidence, well, they’d totally refute evolution. But this misunderstands the issue.
You see, the battle isn’t over the evidence! It’s over different interpretations of the same evidence. Creationists and evolutionists study the same fossils, the same animals, the same stars, the same universe, but come to very different conclusions because of different starting points.
And there’s where the battle really lies. What’s your starting point? God and his perfect eyewitness account of history in his Word? Or fallible man’s ideas about the past?
