In this episode of A Modern Man, I talk about my disdain for Valentine’s Day. How I feel it takes all the romance and spontaneity out of the day. I also give my thoughts on Britney. The superstar is now seen as a Martyr.
We discuss my feelings on cancel culture and where it all begins. Then we talk about the N-word and its origin. Also, the countless celebrities who have all said the N-word and have come back to prominent fame. Then I give my feelings on Morgan Wallen and if I believe he should be canceled for his actions.
On this episode of A Modern Man Podcast, I am joined by my friend Scott Derosa. Scott and I met playing volleyball this fall. He talks about his struggles growing up with a father of addiction in the panhandle of West Texas. He did not come from a diverse community, but the village that raised him taught him to love his neighbor regardless of who they are and what they look like. He then left the small town with big-city dreams just outside of Houston. He spent a few years there until he met his eventual wife. This led him to be a girl dad to 3 incredible young girls at such a young age. He made the commitment and moved to Oklahoma City in 2008, and he has been here ever since. After a decade of marriage, covid came. He thought he was changing careers and inevitably leaving Oklahoma, but the pandemic changed that. He was lucky enough to stay at his job for a few months longer than expected, but after that, he was unsure of his future. All he knows for sure is that he wants to be honest and respectful of everyone’s struggle and he understands we all need help sometimes.

On this episode of A Modern Man podcast I sit down with Dr. Peter B. Stanbro to discuss his experience throughout the Pandemic. He talks about the thousands of patients that would have been without medical care if he wasn’t proactive with his thinking about his practice. Many specialties were suffering during the pandemic, but he managed to increase his staff and patient count. He discussed some of the barriers between insurance companies and giving patients quality treatment. He finishes the podcast talking about some of the legal changes that are allowing mid-level providers such as PA’s and Nurse Practitioners to be able to branch out and create their own practices in some states therefore minimizing a doctors credentials.

On this podcast I sit down with my friend Arial Messerli and talk to her about her experience through the pandemic. I think her perspective is very interesting because she is in a new relationship and also living with her partner. She talks about some of the activities she planned to spice things up, and how they got stronger during the pandemic.

On this Podcast, I am joined by one of my dear friends and Bartender Kristen Leger. She talks about her experience as a Bartender in NYC during the Pandemic after working in the Lower East Side for the past 8 years. She shares her experience struggling through the shutdown, her burnout of the lifestyle of being a bartender, and we get a little sidetracked talking about the political aspects of the Pandemic because although it shouldn’t of been we have all suffered during this pandemic because it was seen as a political problem.

In this podcast, I sit down with my friend Jordyn who is currently a 2nd grade teacher in Enid, Oklahoma. She talks about some of the biggest challenges teachers are facing during a global pandemic. She also talks about some of the crazy protocols that she goes through, so hopefully you will learn and empathize with teachers as we are nearing the end of the pandemic.
