Idell Koury grew up Catholic but had a radical encounter with the true presence of God through a bright light filling her room as she fervently sought Him. She met her husband Tony, who invited her to a church where she clearly heard the gospel message about repentance and being forgiven by God - a stark contrast to her upbringing devoid of truly knowing God personally.

Despite a traumatic childhood marred by neglect, alcoholism, and her mother's horrific trauma, Idell found redemption through this divine experience. She witnessed her previously atheist father's powerful conversion to Christianity and her mother ultimately finding peace and healing after decades of pain. Idell's courageous story exemplifies how an authentic relationship with Jesus can redeem even the deepest brokenness through His mercy, grace and the power of forgiveness.
