  • Episode 99 - Graham Wood has a pint with Seaniebee
Commercial artist, Graham Wood has been at the forefront of global advertising and design for the past three decades. He shares the story behind the way-ahead-of-its-time creative shop Tomato, which he co-founded in 1991 (with many lessons to be had for anybody building their own brand from scratch today). We also chat what makes great work great, why there is such a dearth in creativity at present and what we can collectively do to begin reversing this depressing trend.

  • Episode 98 - Matthew Toman has a pint with Seaniebee
“If I had gone to school, I wouldn’t have done any of this…that’s why I think, listen to everything in school, take all the information you can, but then throw it out the window and go with your gut instinct."
Arguably not since Robert Rodriguez have we seen a filmmaker arrive on the international scene with such dramatic impact. With a drive, passion and commitment to hard work, Matthew Toman has been hustling since he was a teenager. He shares a story that saw him make and lose a fortune by the age of 30 and how the bust drove him to change his life – a journey he captures in the upcoming documentary and book, “The Evolution of Success”. Earlier this year, his innovative, multi-dimensional, ‘can-do’ approach to getting movies made, saw him turn around the film DIVE from script-to-screen in 66 days. We also discuss suicide, alcoholism, abortion, how to write a great script and interesting strategies and tips on living a more successful life.

  • Episode 97 - Jared Dylan has a pint with Seaniebee
“…I like to think of my music as a timestamp on today: it’s not about money, drugs, sex, weed anymore…it’s about freewill and good from bad and this need to be loved and how it’s all amplified by social media and the hierarchy of needs that we live by…”
With wisdom beyond his 23 years, Jared Dylan is fast carving out a career for himself as a new generation, multi-media writer/pop star. A teenage illness saw him suddenly bed-ridden for months, during which time he taught himself music and began writing songs at a level that can best be described as prolific. With supportive parents to keep him grounded, he also attended university and developed a deep understanding of the business side of art. Today he has already worked with many of the best in the business and has garnered millions of fans worldwide. His music is at once vulnerable, cheeky, sarcastic, yet always grounded in the belief that there will always be better days ahead. As well as his amazing life story, Jared shares songs from his new album – Consequence – which launches next month on the back of an extensive tour of Ireland (see links below).

  • Episode 90 - Richard Vranch has a pint with Seaniebee
This week we’re joined by a true UK comedy legend. Richard Vranch chucked a budding career as a Physicist in favour of the stage and has never looked back. He joined the Footlights in Cambridge in 1981 as a contemporary of Stephen Fry, Hugh Laurie, Tony Slattery and Emma Thompson. In 1986 he began performing improv with The Comedy Store Players together with the likes of Paul Merton, Josie Lawrence and Mike Myers. The stage show eventually morphed into the wildly successful Whose Line Is It Anyway? and many of the original cast continue to perform every Sunday and Wednesday at The Comedy Store, making it the world’s longest running comedy show with the same cast. Richard is also a writer and standup comedian (and he occasionally likes to play the piano).
