Industry groups say its an interesting time for Australian olive growers. 

Drought in the Mediterranean region has led to a drop in olive production there, and driving up prices at home. 

While changing trends around wine consumption has led to more grape growers ripping out their vines in favour of olive trees. 

Rural Editor Emily Minney spoke with Australian Olive Association Chief Executive Michael Southan about the future of the industry.
