  • Highly Sensitive — Interdependent — Empowered

    — As a highly sensitive and/or introverted person, we manage our emotions and reactions better when we are well-resourced. Well-resourced for sensitive people means we've had time to ourselves to develop self-awareness, self-discipline, and self-soothing as well as time with others to create trusting, safe, and loving relationships. Interdependence and being well-resourced go hand in hand. We arrive at interdependence by advancing along a maturity continuum. We move through the maturity continuum by passing in and out of stages of dependency and independence and ultimately landing in interdependence.

Valeria Teles interviews Brenda Knowles — the author of "The Quiet Rise of Introverts: 8 Practices for Living and Loving in a Noisy World."

Brenda Knowles and her website is where sensitive people and their loved ones learn to build emotional and relationship resilience. Brenda has written over 500 posts on introversion, relationships, anxiety, depression and parenting. She is trained in family mediation and child advocacy.

  • The Evolution Of Our Intuition

    — The reconnection with our gut instinct and our intuition is paramount. So how do I reconnect with my intuition? Reconnection with our intuition requires us to care for ourselves, listen to our bodies, and find ways to meet our needs. If we don't know how to meet our own needs how are we going to find ways to meet the needs of our children?

Valeria Teles interviews Jessica Raistrick — the Founder Of Inner Truth Consulting, LCSW, Teacher, Psychotherapist, Certified Reiki Master, Writer And Speaker

As a licensed clinician for more than 20 years, Jessica Raistrick, LCSW, formerly Jessica Adams, shares that her inspiration comes from the adolescents and adults that she treats who overcome the struggles of addiction, eating disorders, and family conflict. Effective change happens when the underlying problems are addressed in ways that are individualized and creative. The safe space Jessica offers in therapy allows her clients to explore their feelings, their choices, and challenge their patterns of behavior. Jess works extensively with teens struggling at school, at home, and with the legal system. Her work with parents includes finding effective strategies to reach their teen while opening the lines of communication within the family system. In addition, Jessica's work with substance abuse treatment and prevention has spanned her career while working in the school system, alternatives to incarceration, residential treatment facilities, and in her private practice. She has also worked with individuals coping with eating disorders for over 10 years in a residential setting. Jessica's work with clients is grounded in empathy and connection. Furthermore, her style of direct feedback, in a compassionate manner, helps individuals gain insight and envision and enact new modes of behavior. • Being Alive Is A Miracle — Your Miracle

    — Grief changes you. You are a more sensitive person now. Most importantly, you understand that being alive is a miracle. Your miracle.

Valeria Teles interviews Harriet Hodgson — the author of "Grief Doodling: Bringing Back Your Smiles."

Rochester, Minnesota resident Harriet Hodgson has been a freelance writer for 43 years, is the author of thousands of articles, and 42 books. Two new books are in production now. She has a BS from Wheelock College of Education and Human Development at Boston University, an MA from the University of Minnesota, and additional graduate training.

After four family members died in 2007 the focus of Hodgson's work changed from health/wellness to grief healing, and she is the author of 10 grief resources. Hodgson cared for three generations of family members. When her disabled husband was dying, she searched for ways to de-stress. To her surprise, she found a half hour of doodling refreshed her and she was able to return to caregiving with new energy. If doodling helped her Hodgson figured it could help others.

Hodgson is Assistant Editor of the Open to Hope website, a member of the Association of Health Care Journalists, Alliance of Independent Authors, Rave Reviews Book Club, Rave Writers International Society of Authors, and Minnesota Coalition for Death Education and Support. She has appeared on more than 190 talk radio shows, including CBS Radio, dozens of television stations, including CNN, and dozens of Blog Talk Radio programs. • Your Mind Is Not Running The Show — Your Body Is

    — Self exploration and play is the key to doing the self-worship work. No one can have all the answers for you. We forget that because we are inundated with constant information from "experts" and those who have studied, graduated, worked, experienced, been there and done that. They can teach us a lot...About THEIR journey. But, we are not the same. The key is finding YOUR way and cutting the cords you've welded between you and others. Society will never provide you with TRUE confidence and boldness. It will always be based in some form of illusion or convoluted perception. Whether that is rooted in someone else's trauma and conditionings or in your interpretation of their ideas and concepts.

We are all pieces of a very large puzzle of the Universe. And the only way to get the puzzle together, beautifully, is to allow you to be all of you and me to be all of me. The star piece cannot pretend to be the moon piece (there's already a moon piece, silly.)

Valeria Teles interviews Danna Yahav— the author of "Escape Expectations: A Workbook: F*ck the 'shoulds', tap into your intuition, & embrace your individuality with confidence."

Danna's insatiable curiosity has taken her down every spiritual, healing, and self-growth rabbit hole for the last 15 years. At this point it may be the WHOLE rabbit instead of just the HOLE of the rabbit. Regardless, just exploring was never enough for her.

About 5 years ago she began to coach and write about her journey and share her often sarcastic but always honest ramblings with others. Since then, she has coached hundreds of people through their life transformations, been blogging, writing articles, and self-publishing on Amazon, mostly with a British accent. Her specialization is self-development, growth, shadow work, and radical self-acceptance. Writing is her creative medium of catapulting people into finding themselves in a highly syndicated world. Her book has sold thousands of copies in over 8 countries. It continues to shift other's perspectives, inspire them find meaning in their lives, safety in their choices, and the courage to be who they are.

  • Living In Acceptance, Clarity & Gratitude

    — Break through the stagnant energy and paralyzed states of being that only hinder your development. These are the angst-inducing places and spaces in your existence where you get the feeling there must be more to life—and that there's a better way for you to live it—and yet you can't quite figure out what that is or how to get there. Even if you're armed with all the theoretical knowledge in the world, if you don't know how to apply that knowledge in your daily life, what possible good is it? You need practical steps to not only set your intentions for a better life, but also to give you the tools required to live them.

Valeria Teles interviews Daniel Mangena — the author of "Stepping Beyond Intention: 2nd Edition."

After receiving a late diagnosis of Asperger's and experiencing what can only be described as life-shattering trauma at the age of just 20, Daniel Mangena spent the next seven years struggling to keep these revelations and events from spilling into every area of his life. As a result of his struggles, Daniel built a simple, four-step system called the Beyond Intention Paradigm. Initially built as a lifeline grappling with suicidal thoughts, Beyond Intention was born, transforming Daniel's life from misery to celebration. Through his own struggles, Daniel found a path to lasting joy and purpose, and he wants nothing more than to share the tools that saved his life. To that end, he lives by this mission statement: "To Spearhead an evolutionary uplift in universal consciousness by awakening people to the importance of their unique role, by way of a deep and often ignored or undervalued passion defined as their Dream." Through his motivational speech, Daniel shares his vision of empowerment and joy. His books, "Do it With Dan" podcast series (which is available on all major platforms), regular blogs, published articles and worldwide workshops; have helped thousands of people across the globe. His prolific work recently earned him a spot in the Wall Street Journal as a "Master of Success".

  • Staying Peaceful & Balanced In 2021 & Beyond...

    — An essential part of healing and restoring yourselves is the belief in the essential benevolence of Life and its constant movement towards balance. Even if you cannot always see it in the moment or understand the mysteries, you are LOVED.

To "BE" the love you are is the return to your own true essence as light and openness—the Buddha-nature. Mind will throw all kinds of justifications at you as to why this is dangerous, and on a certain level perhaps it's true, but dangerous to who?

To deny love to yourself, others, and the world at large is to keep yourself limited. A key to all healing, especially on the mental/emotional level, is to see through the eyes of love.

Valeria Teles interviews Irma Kaye Sawyer — the author of "The Aquarian Healer: A BrightStar Empowerment."

Irma Kaye Sawyer is an author, teacher, energy healing practitioner and intuitive counselor from Southern California. Irma Kaye has been in professional practice and has taught holistic healing classes in the US and abroad since 1996.

Her book "The Aquarian Empath" was in the Top 20 of multiple categories upon its release at Amazon in 2013.

She is the author of five books: Cosmic Love: Keys for the Path of Light, The Aquarian Empath I & 2, The Aquarian Healer and The Aquarian Path to Abundance. Assisting clients in personal empowerment and creating optimal physical and emotional health is her passion.

  • Realizing Our Fullest Potential — Living An Authentic Life

    — Our highest purpose for each of us is to realize our fullest potential by living our most authentic life—unapologetically, in color, and out loud. But we all face barriers between imagining what that life looks like and then actually living it. Those barriers come in all shapes and sizes. Some are mere hurdles, while others are brick walls. These are the boxes we find ourselves in. We started building them at different times and for different reasons. We had different tools at our disposal. The world can be an overwhelming and unpredictable place, and we use these coping mechanisms and mental constructs to deal with and make sense of it all. Some are healthy, and some are destructive. Just as each person's journey is unique, so are the boxes we live in.

Valeria Teles interviews Wendy Tamis Robbins — the author of "The Box: An Invitation to Freedom from Anxiety."

Wendy Tamis Robbins is a lawyer by day, writer by night, and a "professional panic attacker." Despite near-crippling anxiety, she worked her way through Dartmouth College and law school before, in her 30s, she set her mind to overcoming the anxiety and panic attacks that increasingly limited her life. For the past 20 years she has worked in corporate finance, creating and preserving affordable housing and lending to underserved communities.

  • Anxiety Is A Natural Emotion

    — Have you ever felt anxious? Of course, you have. Anxiety is a natural emotion. It is also one of the biggest "disorders" within mental health. Anxiety is vital. You should feel anxious in certain situations; it's what keeps us alive. Anxiety is what we feel when our body's sense of perceived threat is awakened. When we are in a potentially dangerous situation, our body reacts – our senses are keener, blood pressure and heart rate increase, thoughts may be racing, we feel a little shaky. If there is potential danger that turns into real danger, these bodily reactions are what put us in the flight, fight, freeze mode to keep us alive. Our bodies are in sympathetic dominance. If we are not really in danger, it is better to bring our bodies into parasympathetic dominance. Bringing the heart rate back to normal, bringing the blood pressure back to normal, loosening the muscles in our bodies, etc. This is a very hard thing to do when someone is constantly perceiving danger and constantly in a state of anxiety. You've been told to "just calm down." or "relax." This seems so simple, but is so very elusive to those with chronic anxiety. So, is there really anything we can do to bring our bodies into parasympathetic dominance without medication? The answer is YES!

Valeria Teles interviews Meg Young — a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, And Speaker

Meg Young focus is on restoring and strengthening the sense of purpose among burnt out helping professionals. She is licensed in CT and FL and has worked in drug rehab, inpatient psychiatric care, in-home therapy with adolescents and their families, and has been in private practice since 2014.

She knew that she wanted to help people through trauma recovery since 1992 when she went through Hurricane Andrew in Miami. Since then, she's had many "areas" of interest, but all were in the area of trauma recovery.

While she worked in a psychiatric hospital, she started to notice the burnout in professionals which kick started that part of her career. She started talking to people about this and going to trainings on understanding burnout.

Then several years ago, she had a police officer come to her which REALLY interested her. She's had a lot of experience with first responders throughout her life, some friends, and some after natural or manmade disasters, but never saw the despair many of them deal with internally. She saw this client's passion come back and the darkness subside and knew she wanted to work with this population.
