Assisted suicide is gaining in popularity, with seven in ten Americans believing a doctor should be allowed to end a patient’s life if asked. Some countries have even legalized euthanasia for children and Canada is considering adding mental health as a qualifying factor. What does God’s Word say about this?

Well, euthanasia is really just another attempt to “be our own gods”—it’s the same temptation from the garden. But we’re not God!

Life is precious and a gift from God. Decisions of life and death belong to our all-knowing God—not fallible humans. Assisted suicide, under the guise of compassion and mercy, is murder.
