THROWBACK EPISODE
This was the first and only mass gathering of Royals since I started the podcast. It was the commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz. I remember having mixed emotions talking about the event, because it was the first time I felt informed, but of course the event itself was extremely emotional.
ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION
Today the royals were in Poland to attend the solemn ceremony for the 75th anniversary of the Liberation of Auschwitz, there was shocking royal drama, and it was just an emotional day.
I can't believe that I am sharing this again, but here is what the first episode sounded like. I had no idea what I was doing, other than I was just going to do this podcast. It's terrible and edited horribly, but I completed it, and now it's been 18 months and I hope the quality is much better. Stay tuned this month for throwback episodes dropping every Wednesday and Friday.
Welcome to the official change to weekly episodes through August. In today's episode, I share some of the changes that are coming for the month. Princess Elisabeth has finished her latest step in preparation for her future. There were a few engagements from the Prince of Wales in Scotland and finally the public summer holidays have begun for the Spanish Royal Family so that will be an adventure.
Most of today's episode is focused on King Felipes past two days in Peru for the inauguration of the country's new president. Finally we talk about the summer plans.
Well, we have reached the point where things are drastically going to slow down. We've had the last big event from the Spanish Royals now. The Olympics are happening so we talk briefly about how our 7 countries are doing after day 2 and there were some small updates from the Belgian, British, Dutch, and Swedish Royal Family.
In today's feature episode we talk about the horrible domestic terrorist attack in Oslo and Utøya 10 years ago. We cover the history of the attack, the Norwegian Royal Family's response then and the events held today to mark the anniversary.
The past 2 days were a bit more to cover but mostly I fangirled about the Belgian Royal Family over the past 2 day, Also covered were days 2 and 3 of Cornwall and my desire to go to the Isles of Scilly. And finally Spain, which while they are still holding events, they aren't very exciting ones.
Today we cover the dwindling number of events in the royal households. The start of Cornwall week for the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall, Queen Margrethe's weekend on the Faroe Islands, and the much needed slow down for the Spanish Royal Family this week.
Days that were supposed to be busy have transitioned to busier days due to the recent floods in the BeNeLux Region. King Philippe and Queen Mathilde as well as King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima visited the affected areas in their respective countries.
Queen Margrethe is on a visit to the Faroe Islands and has taken on a series of engagements there, but mostly I talk about the scenery of the country.
In Spain, the country continues to honor the victims of COVID-19 and honoring the immense contribution of Spanish Healthcare workers.
We have officially gone to every other day episodes. Things are slowly starting to wind down for the summer. In this episode the focus is on the Crown Princeses. Princess Leonor is crushing it in the past 2 day, as well as Crown Princess Victoria's 44th birthday.
