As the royal families start transitioning back to work there were a few things to discuss. Belgium has suspended events for a few days due to one of the children having covid. The Duchess of Cornwall is back in London, is anyone else? A busy weekend for the Danish and Dutch Royals. I went down a rabbit hole for an event of King Felipes and Sweden is also super busy.
We are officially out of vacation mode. There is an update from every royal family in today's episode. We've received a lot of updates about schooling for the next generation. Also, Queen Margrethe just finished a three-day summer tour of Danish towns. And there is an upcoming state visit!!!
Well Scandinavia is very busy this week, King Felipe returned to work this weekend and everyone else is coming back to work this week. We talk about the tour Sweden's royal family is doing, the various activities in Denmark, and Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit's 20th wedding anniversary.
With Copenhagen 2021 upon us, Crown Princess Mary was very busy this week. The Norwegian Royals are starting a strong return to work this week, and the Swedish Royal Family are reattempting their tour of the 21 Swedish Counties to learn about the effects of the pandemic. There is also an update on the Belgian Royal Family members I will be talking about in this podcast going forward
This was the first and only special episode I did in 2020. Mostly because it was the only event that needed a special episode in 2020 because well the pandemic. Last year Princesse Leonor and Infanta Sofía hadn’t done as many event as they have since then, so it was a big deal for that reason alone, but also because there are so many moving pieces to this awards ceremony.

A detailed overview of the Spanish Royal Family's trip to Asturias to celebrate the Princess of Asturias Awards and surrounding events.
September 15 is just one of my favorite days to be a royal watcher. It includes several birthdays and one regnal anniversary. It just is a really fun day so I wanted to include it in the throwback episodes.
ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION
With only Denmark being left out of the conversation, it was a packed day today. It was the opening of the government in the Netherlands. The Duke and DUCHESS of Cambridge visited some of the helpers in London. There were two royal birthdays and one reign anniversary. The Crown Princess of Belgium is receiving her military training and the Belgian Monarchy shared about that. It truly was a glorious day for the royals and it is possibly my favorite day of the year, so far.
The Danish Royal Family has returned to work this week, with the rest of Scandinavia falling in right behind them. The Swedish Royal Family attended a family baptism, while the Norwegians resumed a weekly event. The Queen officially took residence at Balmoral, and lots of 2020 (1) Olympians were welcomed by their country's royal family.
In today's throwback episode this was the first time things felt a little more normal after the lockdowns lifted. It was the first time there was any kind of in-person interaction with a foreign person. Strangely it was the President of France, who had one of the last interactions with a royal before the world went into lockdown. I chose this episode because it was the first time things were feeling normal.
Original Description:
We had our first official visit after the pandemic, The Duchess of Cambridge presented an assembly about kindness. We also got another new photo from Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel and finally, King Felipe and Queen Letizia were present for the launch of the new Spanish tourism campaign.
THROWBACK EPISODE
This was one of the first episodes I recorded where there were a lot of things going on at once. Or at least that's how it felt then. Things have been much busier since. But I've been having fun listening to these past episodes and how much has changed since then.
