Meet Henrik Bjursten a cardiac surgeon. Henrik has come up with a new design for the ski boot liner that appreciates the functional anatomy of the midfoot whilst inside a ski boot. The idea came after his daughter asked him one day “Dad why do my toes get cold when they are inside such a thick boot?” Learn more about Henrik’s process and design theory that looks promising in terms of allowing the major artery and nerve supplying blood to our toes to function un-inhibited. Every human foot is a little different and keeping feet warm in a cold environment has many factors. But as you will find out having arterial blood flow to the forefoot is a very big factor in this common problem.
