Just the women in action last time out and what a weekend of performances we were given. Hector was unstoppable in the GS and then in Sundays Slalom Holdener and Ljutic tearing proverbial lumps out of each other with ski racing of the highest quality...

This coming weekend Vonn returns to the Downhill WC tour... it's St Anton, hold on to your hats! The men are back in Adelboden in GS and Slalom.

Pre Christmas schedule complete, Val Gardena throwing some unusual results in the mix. Vonn's comeback races limited to just one, and then Alta Badia with some strange snow conditions to round it off, some athletes struggled but the cream always rises....

Val d'Isere at its usual best from a piste perspective add to that dark blizzarding conditions, for most and you have one of the toughest races we can remember. The women had much better weather over in the US but Beaver Creek is a great stop on the World Cup speed tour, giving the Worlds best the challenge they deserve!

High drama on US snow this weekend and it ended without the Hollywood big finish. Shiffrin crashes in spectacular fashion, Hector with a second run out of the top draw.

No Shiffrin at the start of the second day and it was Rast that stepped up, building on her from from the start of the season and securing her first ever WC win.

Second Slalom of the season and the same 2 winners in both the men and women races. Shiffrin and Noel have an unbeaten run on the short skis. Coltouri and Rast first timers onto the podium with some tremendous skiing and mental strength!

We chat about the incredibly tough and icy snow conditions and how to come back from bumps in the road with the likes of Feller with zero points after 2 races surely sees the end of his slalom title chances gone...

Levi, one of the most exciting stops on the slalom tour for both the men and the women, not the most difficult but it has all the ingredients for the athletes to show their skills and put down a statement to the rest of the slalom racers. Shiffrin delivers again and Noel matches the dominance on the mens side with a huge performance.

Here we got then, after Soldens standalone albeit very exiting first World Cup feeling like it was months ago, we are about to start the basically non stop racing. Levi is here again, but for the first time since the winter of 19/20 a stop on the mens tour as well.

The 2025 season has already had it all, Brignone laying down a marker, Shiffrin showing she is still human on her way to the magic 100, the mens race was an all Norwegian affair, with Steen Olsen getting his first WC GS win, Odermatt with a DNF, oh and the return of the GOAT in new colours... Orange although the record spectator numbers indicate the Austrians still count Hirscher as their own.
