I met Sarah a few months ago and when I learned how she turned her mother’s devastating terminal cancer diagnosis into a way to see joy in life, I knew I had to learn more about her non-profit, Our Terminal. 

She’s helping others experience peace within the sorrow, joy within the pain, and hope within the heartache. 

Of course, end of life discussions aren’t on the top of anyone’s list of conversation topics, but I have no doubt you’ll enjoy this story of how she created a way to use her experience to comfort others.

What if there was an easier and even more fun way to create those Pinterest projects and where you get to do them with your daughter, best friends, or that great group of moms you always have so much fun with?

About a month and a half ago I learned about Pinner’s from a friend and I thought the idea was brilliant.  I attended the conference in Texas.  It was so impressive and so much fun! 

I reached out to the co-founder, Roxanne Bennett, and was so happy when she agreed to be a guest on the podcast and allow me to ask her all the questions I had about how this fantastic idea came to life. 

Roxanne is a business owner who loves to see other businesses succeed, and offer inspiration to women in all walks of life. 

And wait until you hear the amazing and impactful thoughts, Roxanne shares at the end.  I couldn’t have found a better way to end this second season if I’d tried.  She offers such an inspirational way to wrap it up for us.

The name grabbed my attention right away, but just as fast... my head cocked to the side.  I knew right then I was about to go down one heck of a rabbit hole.  I wanted to know more.

I came to learn that Holy Yoga is a practice that clearly helps the mind and the body, but it puts a whole new emphasis on the soul.  

Holy Yoga is absolutely intriguing, so I was ecstatic when I was able to set up an interview with its founder and CEO, Brooke Boon.

It really does take a great friend to help us sift through life.  I feel lucky to know Elizabeth Anne Kilpatrick.  She's the friend who's been there and done that and offers all the perspective under the sun that comes with that journey.

Alicia's Energy Bite Recipe:
1C mother’s rolled oats (organic rolled oats)
1/3 C ground flax seed
1C dark chocolate chips ( or raisins)
1/3 C local honey
1/2 C organic peanut butter (creamy or crunchy)
** She likes Jif because it has low oil content. She's also made them with powdered also.
1 T good vanilla
Mix well and use cookie scoop ( medium pampered chef works perfect) and chill in the refrigerator.
You can eat them from the fridge, pack in lunch, take on long runs (great 1/2 or marathon snack), camping, road trips, and more!!!!

I've been confused and a little frustrated not knowing how to decipher all the information that comes at us on the regular.  That is why I loved getting to know Dr. Christopher Caires and why I can't wait to share this episode with you.

Dr. Caires is a chemist who's career spans more than 12 years as a leader in the home and personal care industries.  He's worked with such companies as Johnson & Johnson, Neutrogena, Perricone MD, SOLVASA, and is now a VP at Estée Lauder.

I've used several products he's personally developed, so it's been fun getting into the nitty-gritty of what we see on the shelves during this interview.

In the past two episodes, we've talked about one of the biggest hurdles... how to attempt to manage life and the time needed to do it all.

If you put me and a ticking clock in a ring, I promise you that clock will win every single time. 

Jessica Henning and Anna Dearmon Kornick both came into my life this past year, and I'm SO glad they did.  They've helped me learn so much on how to navigate my calendar and my life in general.

This week I'm bringing it full circle.  I've decided to share my experience putting their practices and a few others in to play.  I don't have it all down pat yet, but there's been some pretty significant headway!
