As we watch the unprecedented criminal trial in New York, eyes are also on the Supreme Court, for they will rule in June on the also-unprecedented question of presidential immunity. If SCOTUS rules that Donald Trump is immune from prosecution for acts he made as a private citizen in his post-presidency, we will have crowned a king.
