Read Aloud Like An Allstar! 

Reading aloud is hard as hell! Let's be honest ... making the decision on how you should do it can be super confusing and then the question of ... "Did the author intend this script to be interpreted this way" can drive you mad.

That is our challenge as narrators, whether we are reading fiction or nonfiction.

We are supposed to be bringing our acting skills to the table, while simultaneously directing our performance by shaping the overall vision of the author ...

IT'S TOUGH!!!

But it is not impossible ... in fact, it is easier than you think.

In this episode, I talk about the difference between traditional stage acting where "Acting is reacting", and storytelling as an audiobook narrator is about removing personal opinion from your read and let the author's intent guide the audience to their own decision about the book.

Acting Tips And An Exercise To Help You Sound More Real During Your Voice Over Read

In this episode, I give you an update to what happened with the audiobook and also my earnings for this month on Fiverr.

After that, I talk about the first object exercise that acclaimed acting coach, "Uta Hagen" created to help herself become a better actress in her book Respect for Acting.  

Since acting "natural" typically takes two or more people (unless you habitually talk to yourself, and in this case, that is good) feedback is hard to come by. 

These exercises allow you to practice by yourself, inorder for you to act more natural on queue and not get that famous .... radio / fake sounding voice. 

I run you through how to set yourself up for the exercise and how to do it.

After 600 voice overs completed on Fiverr, I have hit a point in my business where I had to make a really challenging decision. 

That decision will no doubt have massive implications on my Fiverr voice over business and I am unsure what the fallout with be. 

However, I feel like I made the right choice and I am willing to except the consequences from Fiverr.
