Well well well, what do we have here? A guest? Don't be craz.....wait...WHY YES! Yes, it is!

This week Hannah and Chris had the pleasure of introducing their first guest; friend of the pod, Jen Lindsay. Jen has always had a passion for true crime so who better to get on to talk about it!

We kick off by chatting with Jen about some of her favourite cases and conspiracy theories before our beloved hat posed an important question regarding gothic fashion in film.

Hannah kicks off story time with tales of the Glasgow Subway hauntings, Chris talks about the little known story of occultist Netta Fornario, a woman found dead on Iona with strange circumstances and then Jen takes us home with her very own hometown story; The Witches of Bargarran.

    Enjoy!

  • A Cheeky Dash of Incest (Wuthering Heights and Scottish Ghost Musicians)

Happy (episode) 18th! Our little podcast has reached adulthood, what a shame it’s got us two children looking after it…Chat this week includes being deemed strange and unusual for not drinking alcohol, Hannah’s unashamed crush on Thomas Andrews in “Titanic”, and which line in a musical never fails to make us emotional. Our stories include Part 3/4 in Hannah’s Brontë Business, taking a look at the complex novel that is “Wuthering Heights”. And is that a ghostly bagpipe one hears on the horizon…It might be, as Chris takes a look at some of the ghost musicians that roam across Scotland.

  • The Hills Are Alive With The Sound of Pumpin' (RMS Titanic Scottish passengers and Jane Eyre)
Can’t we be (episode) seventeen? Stories this week feature Scottish souls both lost and saved whilst aboard the RMS Titanic, and Hannah kicks off the second part of her Brontë Business series with a little deconstruction of Gothic novel Jane Eyre

    Hello hello hello!

Welcome back to A Wee Bit Gothic. This week we hear the tragic story of the Bronte family and the strange town in which they lived.

  • Don't Diss The Unicorns (Greyfriars Kirk and the Battle of Culloden)
Lucky for some (namely you lot) the number thirteen wasn't enough to dissuade us from doing an episode this week.
Chris kicks off by talking about Greyfriar's Kirk, its history and some of its most notable features and stories. His favourite, of course, features one of Scotland's most famous four legged friends.
Hannah covers and de-myths the Battle of Culloden. We talk about how passionately we feel that Scotland should be taught more of its own history in schools.
