Tonight’s guest, William Harris, grew up in a very remote part of the Smoky Mountains, in North Carolina, next to the Tennessee border. In fact, the area where he grew up was so remote, it was cut out of the wilderness just 60 to 70 years before his family moved there. William grew up fishing, hunting, and exploring the mountains around his family’s farm. Consequently, he had a very good childhood. While it’s true that he had an idyllic childhood and grew up in a beautiful area, there was still dark side to living where he did. You see, from a very young age, he was warned not to be outside after dark, because the Wooly Booger would get him. Of course, that sounds like something kids are told to scare them into being good and doing what they’re told. Sometimes, though, there’s truth behind warnings, like that. Unfortunately, William found out, the hard way, that there definitely was truth to that warning, on more than 1 occasion too! In fact, when William had 1 of the encounters he’s going to talk about, on tonight’s show, his uncle was with him. The encounter shook his uncle up, so much, to this day, he won’t go into the woods unless he can see his truck, at all times.
