This week I caught up with Larry Schemel from the Los Angeles-based psychedelic band Death Valley Girls, for a chat about the 1974 Tobe Hooper classic The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. We also chat about the music of the Death Valley Girls, touring & of course his history with horror & he even decides on which is the most 'horror' of the DVG songs. One of the best this one!

It's time for one of those huge episodes. Well, it's a four parter anyways. 2009 was a decent year for horror movies, well as long as your don't mind the French extreme, torture porn, the found footage explosion, j horror and a glut of remakes. The highs are really high & the lows are absolute trash. But, what do I think was the very greatest horror movie that came out during 2009? Well, here we have the top 10. The worst 10. A slew of also rans. Some awesome mates. Some special guests. Several pints of beer and a 6+ hour running time split over 4 episodes. This is 2009, A Year In Horror.
It's a pretty long journey this one, part 4 of 4 in fact. I am going to give you the time codes below so if you don't want spoilers then, please, avert your eyes.
Below are the timecodes for all the different segments and my guest links. Feel free to let me know where you think I got it wrong or right and of course stay safe out there & I'll see you next month.

Lucky McKee is the director of many a horror banger, my 4 personal favourites being May (2002), The Woman (2011), Sick Girl (2006) & Old Man (2022). Today, join me in a celebration of one of those, his disturbing horror classic, May. Second Sight films have released a lavish Bluray box set & I took that as a good as excuse as any to reach out to him.
Today I chat with Jayne Dent, the electronic folk artist otherwise known as ME LOST ME who has just released her new album 'RPG' on Upset The Rhythm Records. We chat all things horror and dip into the bizarre science fiction work of director Andrei Tarkovsky, SOLARIS.
