A Year In Horror

'The history of the human race is the history of human hatred. Even love cannot erase such intense hatred.'

"I've seen things. I've seen gods. Demons. I let gods rain silver on me. And the dead and the damned - Most of us are damned you know?"

"Gee... And now you made me hurt myself again! You made me break my hand completely off this time Tina! But I don't care Darlin', because I love you, and you've got to let me EAT YOUR BRAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIINS!"

"Wouldst thou like the taste of butter?"

"You know, when I'm away from you, I think of you as a monster or a woman possessed, and then I see you again and all this disappears."

This week we head over to America. I met up with Creighton Barrett for a chat about his music plus of course his history with horror & we had a big old nostalgia love in covering all things Tobe Hoopers POLTERGEIST!

"They're in a perpetual dream state, a nightmare from which they cannot wake. Inside this spectral light is salvation - a window to the next plane."

This week I met up with the English electronic music dabbler Daniel Avery for a chat about his music plus of course his history with horror & a big old love in on the 2002 creep fuelled, Robin Williams think piece that was One Hour Photo. Just Don't go digital!

"I was here. I existed. I was young, I was happy, and someone cared enough about me in this world to take my picture."

Today I chat with Patty Schemel from grunge legends Hole about the magical musical misery that is Brian De Palma's 1974 belter, Phantom of the Paradise. Plus we delve into her horror histories & get some killer Hole & Upset stories to boot.

"All my dreams are lost and I can't sleep. Sleep alone could ease my mind. All my tears are dry and I can't weep. Old emotions may they rest in peace and dream."

It's time for one of those massive episodes. Well, it's a four parter anyways. 1972 was a ridiculously massive year for horror movies. If you are into Italian cinema, especially giallo films then '72 is gonna be a bonanza for you. So many silly titles. But what do I think was the very greatest horror movie that came out during 1972? Well, here we have the top 10. The worst 10. A slew of also rans. Some awesome mates. Some special guests. Several pints of beer and a 7+ hour running time split over 4 episodes. This is the 1972, A Year In Horror.

It's a truly long journey this one, part 4 of 4 in fact. I am going to give you the time codes below so if you don't want spoilers then, please, avert your eyes.
