Whew! I'm on my soapbox today! We have seen in this diary just how much Sister Faustina loves Christ. She spends massive amounts of time in prayer, she goes to Mass all the time. You know that her heart belongs to God and her attitude is the proper response to God. Recently, my teenage daughter heard a message of low standards when it comes to a relationship with Christ.

Sister Faustina is visited by a young woman who she feels will be a stray sheep. People leave the faith for numerous reasons. However, there are things we can do to make sure that we are never the reason why someone leaves. Ultimately, it's in their control, but we can always do our best.

Our topic today is on leadership. I'm sure you all have had a good leader and a bad leader at some point in your life. Mother Superior goes with Sister Faustina to look over some oof the Divine Mercy image and holy cards. Sister Faustina talks about all the wonderful ways Mother Superior has been a good leader.

Have you ever done something you know you shouldn't have and you realize pretty quickly that you were in the wrong, so you run to fix it? If you are like me, that doesn't happen very often because of pride. It's rare that when we've done wrong that we go and fix it as fast as possible. Sister Faustina says something wrong to two poor needy children and she runs to fix it.

Have you ever noticed that some people at Mass just half-heartedly come up to receive Communion? There is a certain body language of people who fully understand what they are going up to receive. And there is a body language of those doing it merely out of habit. Christ talks about today about how it pains Him to have people receive the Sacrament of Love out of habit.

We are going to read a very good prayer of thanks. Sister Faustina is going to spend a lot of time thanking God. On the other end, I will share a recent story of when I was hit hard at Mass with the realization of how ungrateful I was acting. When I stopped to think about how ungrateful I was acting, I recognized just how many blessings God had actually been giving me. I was just too grumpy to notice.

Another ten days down!

Sister Faustina shares with us that her brother is coming to visit her. She seems a little anxious about it. The last part, though, is what we are mostly going to focus on. She gives us some details about what it is like to work at the gate. She contrasts how she treats the poor at the door with how another treats the poor.

This is my longest podcast to date. The reason is because Sister Faustina brings up the A word. Yes, she speaks of abortion. It's too important a topic to not give due diligence. I hope you will hang in there for this longer, but highly important podcast.

Sister Faustina gets a new job. She moves from the garden to the gate. Also, today, she is treated pretty poorly by several of the sisters in the house. We're going to talk about how we treat people when we do our job. That can mean any job whether it be paid, volunteer work, or work in the home.

We will be reading mostly a longer prayer from Sister Faustina. I would encourage you to get into a very prayerful mindset. The biggest thing to focus on is the fact that she is saying, "No matter what, Lord, I will bless you." And that is the attitude of a true saint.
