Foreign Minister Penny Wong says she's incredibly thankful another Australian who'd been missing after catastrophic flooding in Nepal and Tibet has now been found. It follows Cara Severino being found over the weekend, but Senator Wong says we "must remain realistic about the days ahead". The disaster's death toll has now surpassed a thousand people  while about 4,000 remain missing, including 42 Australians.

The federal opposition leader has expressed concerns about the absence of several leaders at the Pacific Islands Forum in Palau. Tensions have emerged between China and Taiwan at this year's gathering, after the Taiwanese foreign minister attended the forum's opening ceremony.

And former talk back host Ray Hadley says a complainant against Alan Jones told him he didn't want to go public with his allegations in 2019, because he feared it would ruin him. A former colleague is accusing the veteran broadcaster of indecently assaulting him on eight separate occasions in 2008.

The Department of Foreign Affairs has confirmed an Australian who'd been missing following the devastating floods along the Nepal-Tibet border, has been safely located. The Australian is receiving support from consular officials and has spoken to family members. It takes the number of unaccounted-for Australians to 42, down from 43.

Retired radio host Ray Hadley been giving evidence in the indecent assault trial of former 2GB shock jock Alan Jones. Mr Hadley has told the court, an alleged victim broke down when he told him in 2019 that Mr Jones touched and kissed him on a regular basis. Mr Jones has pleaded not guilty to 20 counts of indecent assault and two counts of sexual touching.

And Australia's biggest electricity transmission company has been slapped down by the regulator, over attempts to pass on a billion-dollar bill to consumers for a bungled high-voltage power line. The Australian Energy Regulator rejected Transgrid's bid to recover a huge cost blowout on its part of Project Energy Connect, a $3.6 billion transmission line linking South Australia with New South Wales.

The former gang leader who orchestrated the killing of gangster rapper Tupac Shakur in Las Vegas has been found guilty of his murder, nearly 30 years after the drive-by shooting.

Argentina's soccer legend Lionel Messi has announced his retirement from international football.

The 39-year-old made the announcement in a social media post.

It comes soon after the death of his father and six weeks since the final of the FIFA World Cup which saw Spain beat Argentina 1-0. 

But he's not putting away his boots entirely.
