Australia's eSafety Commissioner will be able to take the gaming platform to court if it finds Roblox is not honouring its commitments to keep Australian children safe.

The court-enforceable undertaking is the latest example of eSafety using its enforcement powers against online platforms. 

There's been widespread anger over Israel's decision not to pursue criminal charges against soldiers involved in the deaths of seven humanitarian workers, including Australian aid worker Zomi Frankcom.

Foreign Minister Penny Wong says she's outraged by the decision and has summoned the Israeli ambassador.

Victorian sex crime detectives are expected to travel to New South Wales as they investigate an alleged sex assault scandal engulfing the AFL's Sydney Swans.

Five Swans players stood down for breaking club standards have apologised, saying they've let down their partners and families, members, supporters, teammates, the AFLW team, corporate partners and everyone at the club and the wider community.

And the Australian and New Zealand Council for Fire and Emergency Services' spring outlook shows an increased risk of fire in most states and territories over the coming months.

Five Sydney Swans players have now been stood down for the rest of the season for breaching behavioural standards over their late night drinking and bringing women back to their hotel.

At the same time, an investigation by Victoria police continues into a report of sexual assault at the hotel where the Swans were staying.

It is not suggested that any of the banned players are being accused, and the club says none of them have been formally interviewed by police.

Lawyers for triple-murderer Erin Patterson say prosecutors in her trial acted "surreptitiously" when they implied she had a motive to kill. Erin Patterson is appealing her conviction for murdering three relatives and trying to kill another by feeding them a meal laced with poisonous mushrooms in 2023.

Sydney Swans Chairman Andrew Pridham says the five players banned from matches for the rest of the season for breaching club standards are feeling "remorseful". The club says Riley Bice, Nick Blakey, Isaac Heeney, James Jordon and Chad Warner went out drinking and brought women back to their hotel in Melbourne on Sunday and Monday. 

And the financial crimes regulator says a joint analysis of data from 10 major banks has uncovered potentially hundreds of millions of dollars in suspected fraudulent home loans, mostly tied to Sydney properties.
