Israel says it won't withdraw from Lebanon, after the U-S and Iran came to a ceasefire agreement.

Pakistan, which acted as a mediator, had said the immediate and permanent termination of military operations on all fronts includes Lebanon.

But now, Israel's Defence Minister says all so-called "terrorist infrastructure" will be cleared from security zones that Israel occupies, and that if Iran attacks Israel due to events in Lebanon, Israel will attack Iran. U-K Prime Minister Keir Starmer has announced an Australian-style social media ban for under-sixteens.

He says the regulation for the ban will pass before Christmas, and come into effect in the second half of next year.

Government consultation found that 85 per cent of British parents believe the risk of social media outweighs the benefits -- and Mr Starmer says a full ban is the right choice.The family of Leah Stewart, the woman critically injured in a shark attack at Sydney's Coogee Beach has released a statement describing her injuries as "severe and life threatening".

They say she'll need extensive ongoing care, support, and rehabilitation -- after being mauled by a Great White shark, while going for a swim on Saturday morning  between the flags and close to the shore.

They've also expressed their gratitude to lifesavers, first responders, helicopter crew and the dedicated medical team at St Vincents Hospital who've been caring for her.

US President Donald Trump says the United States and Iran have agreed to a ceasefire deal to end their war.

A four week coronial inquest has been set down to investigate the death of a young man who died in a Coles supermarket in Alice Springs last year.

Northern Territory Coroner Elisabeth Armitage will oversee the inquest into the death of Kumanjayi White from April 5th to 30th next year.

The 24-year-old Warlpiri man died while being restrained by police officers in a Coles supermarket in May 2025.

No charges have been laid over the incident.

U-S Vice President J-D Vance claims an "historic" ceasefire agreement with Iran will "transform" the Middle East.

Washington and Tehran say they've reached a deal to end military operations, following weeks of conflict.

It's expected to be officially signed on Friday in Switzerland, but details of what it contains are still emerging.
