Rep. Cori Bush recently delivered a gripping personal testimony to the House of Representatives Oversight Committee about substandard maternity care she received during pregnancy and delivery. 

The substance of her remarks was lost, however, when Rep. Bush called for high-quality care not just for mothers, but for "birthing persons," insinuating that there are men and members of other supposed genders capable of giving birth.
