For the last couple of weeks we’ve been looking at the manifestations of the Spirit. Think of these as spiritual power tools, or helps that come alongside your spiritual giftings for a specific time and reason. On occasion the Lord may give you the ability to speak into a person’s life. It may be a comforting word, or something along the lines of exhortation or edification. That’s really what the manifestation of prophecy is all about.

It's been said the most sensitive nerves in the human body are the nerves that extend from the heart to the pocketbook. But the Lord has a lot to say about how we handle our finances, and giving, and so if it’s important to Him it should be important to us. And so today we give attention to giving and generosity.

We’re in the middle of a study of First Corinthians, and currently pointing out the manifestations of the Spirit that we find in chapter 12… like the workings of miracles. Maybe you can look back on a time in your life when you experienced something unexplainable and supernatural? Perhaps you didn’t know how you’d pay your rent, and God delivered big time. We’ll see that God does the miraculous today, just as He did in the past.

But does God still do miracles today? Let’s find out!

We’re making our way through First Corinthians. And here lately we’ve been exploring the manifestations of the Spirit… which includes the gifts of healings. When we or a loved one are sick, it’s a good idea to go to the Lord and ask for healing! He is more than able and willing to heal today, but sometimes He chooses not to. Pastor Ed provides some examples of that in Scripture.

Whether you’ve been hit with the news that you have cancer, or you’re suffering through a disease like Diabetes or Parkinsons, it’s important to know that God cares about you and what you’re going through. And it just may be in His plan and will to heal you! Today on Abounding Grace we’ll spend some time talking about the gifts of healings. Yes God does heal today, but pastor Ed Taylor cautions us not to make the mistake of thinking the Lord will heal everyone who has faith.

We’ve all experienced it… we’ve done or said something terrible, and feel bad about it. But where do you go from there? Pastor Ed will show us how to experience godly sorrow that leads to repentance. It’s modeled for us in quite a few places in Scripture.
